The himalayenses are good all-rounders. They come in blue or white and enjoy sun or part shade. They will spread to an extent via the underground runners they produce. Aside from the white variety, the flowers have only very subtle differences between them. They vary in height and spread between varieties and so can work well as either front or mid-border plants. They are a big hit with bees and other pollinators, possibly because their flowers are large and plentiful. They will usually offer a good second flush of flowers too, after being cut back mid-season. They are easy to grow, so perfect for beginners, and ideal for use in gardens where one wishes to encourage wildlife.

Hardy Geraniums are one of the most diverse genera of herbaceous perennials. It is possible to find a Geranium to suit most parts of your garden, from the vast range of species and varieties available. They complement most other plants beautifully and, chosen wisely, can provide a continuation of colour in the garden from spring through to early winter.

Please note that the heights, spreads and flowering periods mentioned are approximate, as they can be affected by your soil type, light levels and other various conditions that may surround the plant.
